A secured card is just like a regular credit card except that it requires an initial deposit. The size of your deposit will be your credit limit.

When you sign into the online dashboard, you can see your available and owing balance. You can also contact us directly at 1-800-746-4840 to confirm your balance. If you haven’t logged into your account for a while, note that your username is your email address, and you create or reset your password.
You can make a one-time payment online through the Refresh website or make a bill payee payment through your online banking. Here’s where you can make your payments.
You can increase your limit by contacting us at 1-800-746-4840 or by emailing care@refreshfinancial.ca (email works best). Then you will make a payment on your account for the increased amount. Here’s where you can make your payments.
Yes, we now offer our secured card to Quebec residence!
We report to TransUnion and Equifax every month. However, as a new client, it can take up to 90 days for you to see your credit card on the credit bureaus.
The deposit refund of a cancelled card (prior to activation) can take up to 30 business days because of the privacy and security measures that we observe before sending money.
In order to be approved for the Refresh secured card, you will need to provide valid government photo ID.

Refresh does not currently offer any type of unsecured credit card. We currently only offer a secured card designed to help you build your credit easily and affordably.
Our processing period is the time it takes for us to ensure against identity theft, fraud, or money laundering. Once that process is complete, your card will be mailed to you via Canada Post (which is your mailing time!).
