3 New Choices For Saving Money On Television

CraveTV

This new streaming TV service is from Bell and will cost you $7.99 per month. If you have Bell services already, you might already have an account with CraveTV. It’s very similar to the Netflix model in that it has a directory of shows and movies which you can watch on demand. Crave offers many shows not available on Netflix, such as the hilarious Canadian comedy Letterkenny. Pluto TV

Pluto is an app that you can download to your desktop, smart TV or Handheld device. It’s absolutely free and has 75+ channels of live broadcast television. You have absolutely free access to sports channels, weather channels, news channels, and music channels. You’re not going to get your well-known television networks here but there is enough television on this free app to keep you entertained for hours on end. YouTube TV

This new service has just started in the US, and should hopefully make its way to Canada fairly soon. It's currently offering a deal for US customers of $35/month, which gives you six accounts with access to streaming all the big television networks, live. ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX and more. You also get unlimited storage for your recorded shows using the built-in DVR. Like Netflix, you can watch on your television, your handheld device, or your computer.
